Welcome to Sescom Group! What does this step mean for Diamond Air Conditioning Limited?
We are pleased to join the Sescom Group and merge with PCB Technical Solutions Limited, a partner with whom we have engaged in numerous projects over the years. This partnership will enable us to enhance our company offerings and drive forward our strategic initiatives.
How did Sescom Group and PCB convince you?
Initial discussions with Tomasz Szatkowski revealed that Sescom/PCB had a well-defined strategy for expansion within the UK market, strong core values, and unwavering dedication. These factors made it an effortless decision for Brian and me to determine the future of our company and its employees.
What do you expect from this merger?
We are optimistic that this merger will result in a significant enhancement of our capabilities, cost savings, and efficiency simultaneously, while also facilitating organic growth through strategic synergies.
What is the story behind your company?
Established in May 2007 by Brian Boyd and Neil Drummond, we identified an opportunity in the market for a new type of air conditioning company that would revolutionise the industry. The outdated and stagnant old-style companies were no longer relevant, and we were determined to create something fresh and innovative. Handwritten job reports and limited customer interaction were replaced with a cutting-edge job management system that provided real-time updates and enhanced the overall customer experience. Operating from a small commercial premises in Coatbridge since 2007, we were running out of space to store equipment and specialised tools. In 2012, we moved into our custom-built 6,600 square foot warehouse and office space, which allowed us to enhance our IT systems and create a better work environment for our staff.
Could you tell us what makes Diamond AC stand out?
From the directors down to the staff on the ground, we instill in every customer, regardless of their size, the same level of dedication and passion.
What is your main specialisation and what companies do you serve?
Our core business activity is HVAC installation, service, and maintenance. However, we also have the capability to project manage fit-out contracts.
What about your team – can you tell us more about its members?
We are a small team of 19, consisting of 4 Directors, 1 Helpdesk staff member, 1 Logistics Storeman, and 13 Technicians.
How did your team receive the news of joining Sescom Group?
We organised a Q&A session with our entire staff at our office in Coatbridge to explain the purpose of the merger and outline what to expect in the coming months.
