When and how did your collaboration with Sescom begin?
I’ve been working at Sescom for about 8 years now.
Do you remember what convinced you about Sescom back then?
I remember waiting for the recruitment interview and thinking, “It’s so pleasant here, such positive energy. It would be nice to work here.” My intuition didn’t fail me.
What was the company like back then?
Most of the Gdańsk branch was located on one floor. Smaller teams, but very cohesive. A great atmosphere, open minds, readiness for challenges – that’s how I’d summarize that time.
What did you do before working at Sescom?
Among other things, I was involved in designing, quoting, and selecting pumping stations and pressure stations for designers and external clients.
What makes you stay here?
I think it’s primarily the people and the fact that I simply enjoy working here.
How has the scope of your responsibilities changed over the years?
I’ve been in the technical office since the beginning. Initially, as a Quotation Specialist, I prepared offers for clients, learned about the company’s operations, and the ins and outs of the organization’s mechanisms. Then, as a Team Leader for Quotations, I focused on optimizing work, solving current problems, developing competencies, and monitoring implemented changes. Subsequently, as Deputy Manager and then Manager of the Technical Office, these responsibilities evolved. However, they always revolved around similar issues: caring for the team, developing my own and others’ competencies, solving problems, and implementing improvements/changes as needed.
What are you currently doing as a Technical Support Manager?
I lead the technical department. We support the organization in preparing offers, provide technical advice, and consultations for colleagues. Many people are involved in conducting training for clients and colleagues. Additionally, we perform expert audits of facilities and services. We also participate in facility handovers for our clients.
What skills are needed for your position?
Good work organization, ability to work under time pressure, flexibility, good cooperation with other employees.
And what do you like most about your job?
The daily excitement associated with unexpected situations that we have to face.
What does your team look like?
My team consists of Technical Experts, Technical Advisors, and Estimators.
You also oversee Sescom Academy. What are your plans for this year?
Developing people’s competencies and expanding technical knowledge among employees throughout the organization.
How would you describe your character in a few words?
A typical competitor. Concrete, organized, stubborn when necessary, easily embracing change.
What have been your biggest successes, the project you are most proud of?
There isn’t one single event. Every problem solved is a success.
What challenges do you face this year?
Everything is changeable. I’m waiting for new challenges and development opportunities.
What do you like to do in your free time? Do you have any hobbies?
Cycling, traveling, reading crime novels, and watching TV series.
