When and how did your collaboration with Sescom begin?
My collaboration with SESCOM began in November 2015. As a recent graduate of Gdańsk University of Technology, I was looking for a job opportunity related to my education. I remember Marcin Bizewski offering me a position in the technical department during interviews, but I chose coordination and I absolutely don’t regret it.
What particularly interested you about this offer?
The connection to my studies was key. Besides, the coordinator’s role seemed very dynamic and spontaneous, which aligned with my expectations and personality.
How have your responsibilities changed over the years?
For the past 9-10 years, I have been consistently involved in the operations department. My first role was the well-known Regional Service Coordinator (RKS), then CM (Contract Manager), and for several years now, Team Manager/Manager. This path allowed me, and still does, to draw on the experience I gained in my previous positions.
What keeps you here?
You’ve probably read this before… but the first answer will be the people. Shared tasks, shared challenges, but also shared conversations and moments of relaxation create a good atmosphere. Another, but related, answer is my team. It’s a group of ambitious and open-minded people, working with whom I find great satisfaction. Last but not least – the tasks and responsibilities. SESCOM still manages to surprise me and provide new impressions and experiences.
What are you currently doing as a Regional Maintenance Manager, and what area are you responsible for?
As a Regional Maintenance Manager, I serve the entire Polish refrigeration market and a small group of clients in the heating and air conditioning industry.
What skills are required for your position?
This is a job and responsibilities based on multitasking. In some situations, flexibility, openness, creativity, and spontaneity will be key; in others, patience and meticulousness. There’s no time for boredom. 😉
What do you like most about your job?
Above all, I enjoy working with people; I enjoy dialogue and interaction with both our structure and the customer and service teams. Besides, every day, even though it’s similar, brings something different. There are situations where, despite their experience, someone or something manages to surprise me.
Does your previous professional experience support your current job? How?
Before starting at SESCOM, as a student, I worked at Danfoss – there I consolidated and expanded my knowledge from my studies. However, using sports terminology, I can describe myself as a SESCOM alumnus.
How would you describe your personality?
Absolutely subjectively, I can say that I’m ambitious, open-minded, and full of energy, but I’m also meticulous.
Has there been a project at Sescom that you’re particularly proud of?
So far, I’ve had the opportunity to participate in many interesting projects, but if I had to choose one that stands out as my success, I’d choose my collaboration with Żabka. In 2020, I implemented this contract operationally, serving a hybrid role as coordinator and contract manager for the first few months. Building a process for working with both the client and the service department allowed us to consolidate our partnership and build a satisfactory margin, and in 2024, it resulted in the expansion of another region and over 100% revenue growth.
What was the past year like for you, and what are you taking into the next one with?
I can definitely describe 2024 as a dynamic year, probably the most dynamic in my career, but I enjoy new challenges. I entered 2025 with continued energy and faith in the people around me.
What challenges do you face in the coming year?
My goals and ambitions for 2025 primarily revolve around onboarding new clients, building our brand there, organically developing our partnerships, and maintaining existing contracts amidst increasingly competitive financial and quality challenges. Personally, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a growing share of refrigeration in our client portfolio and budget.
What do you like to do in your free time? Do you have any hobbies?
Sports are often mentioned in personal profiles or CVs. I won’t be original – it will appear here too. Sports are my multifaceted hobby – I enjoy being active, and I also follow and watch many games both at the stadium and on TV. I try to pass on my passion for sports to my son, and luckily, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree – like me, he’s very active and has boundless energy. 😊
